Larry Hastie is an independent advisor. He is not employed by a major money manager, bank, insurance company or full-service broker. Being independent, he has fewer conflicts of interest and is not pressured to provide "in-house" approaches of a "parent" firm.

We believe one of the best ways to make money is not to lose money in financial bear markets. That is why we recommend the Seasonal Approach to actively manage client's portfolios.

We believe that diversification is one of the most important investment concepts and that most investors are under diversified. We can suggest four or five ways a client can try to diversify.

We realize that diversification, by itself, does not prevent portfolio losses like many investors experienced in the prolonged bear market of 2000-2002. It's another reason to consider the Seasonal Approach.

Our group is the only Southeastern Michigan based group that has the flexibility to offer fee-offset brokerage of stocks and bonds, no-load mutual funds, 401k, 403b, TIAA-CREF, SEI Investments, other wrap fee managers as well as retirement and estate planning for clients.

We are fee-based advisors, allowing us to recommend investment changes without commission implications.

We have the ability and willingness to coordinate the investments of various retirement accounts with private family accounts and provide consolidated reporting.

Depending upon client goals, we can recommend conservative, moderate or aggressive strategies using the investment vehicles discussed above.

We believe in educating rather than selling the investor.

PRM retirement plans are comprehensive and broad ranging, yet they are easy to understand. The client and PRM frequently use the plan as a framework for monitoring future progress.
